Mumbai, February 8: Bollywood actor Salman Khan attended the National Volunteer Organization (RSS) event in Mumbai on Saturday. The organization celebrated its centenary with a two-day lecture series themed “100 Years of Sangh Yatra: New Horizons.”
As Salman arrived at the venue under tight security, an excited crowd attempted to take photos with the star. Renowned actresses Hema Malini and Poonam Dhillon also graced the event.
According to the RSS Facebook page, the program aimed to reflect on the organization’s journey and its role in society. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke about Salman’s immense popularity, noting that college students often emulate him, even if they don’t understand why. He shared, “College students copy Salman Khan’s fashion. When asked why, they say they don’t know. Salman is doing it, which means good values should become fashionable in society.”
Additionally, Salman recently attended Jackie Shroff’s birthday celebration on short notice. On Monday, veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai shared a photo of Salman and Jackie on his official Instagram account.
In the photo, Salman sported a mustache, possibly for his upcoming war drama “Battle of Galwan.” Ghai praised Salman in a heartfelt note, expressing gratitude for his willingness to join the celebration on such short notice. He wrote, “Truly, Salman Khan is one of the best stars who respects his seniors with heart and spirit. Upon receiving my SMS inviting him to join friends for dear Jackie Shroff’s birthday, he surprised us by coming over and lighting up the evening. Thank you. May you always be happy, Salman.”
On the work front, Salman is currently busy with “Battle of Galwan,” directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The project, based on the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley, also stars Chitrangada Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Ankur Bhatia in key roles.
