Saif Ali Khan and Prateek Gandhi Unite in Hum Hindustani Series

Mumbai, February 4: Netflix is set to release the web series ‘Hum Hindustani,’ featuring actors Saif Ali Khan and Prateek Gandhi sharing the screen for the first time. This period drama will narrate the untold story of India’s first democratic elections following independence.

The series aims to bring to life a significant chapter in Indian history that laid the foundation of democracy. It will depict the struggles of a team of officials tasked with conducting the nation’s first general election amidst chaos, protests, and challenges in newly liberated India. Inspired by true events, the narrative highlights the hard work, faith, and courage of those who contributed to establishing India’s democracy.

According to the team, the series will not only entertain but also educate today’s youth about the immense effort and struggle that went into building India’s democracy. They stated, “Every Indian has the right to vote, which is one of the most important promises of our country. This is what ‘Hum Hindustani’ showcases. It has been our responsibility and privilege to portray this historical event from the perspective of those working at the grassroots level. The series is directed and written by Rahul Dholakia, known for his films that focus on social issues. Produced by Emme ENTERTAINMENT, the series features prominent actors including Deepak Dobriyal, Mimi Chakraborty, Sarika, and Shraddha Dangar alongside Saif Ali Khan and Prateek Gandhi.
