Ahmedabad, February 25: BJP leader Rohan Gupta has questioned Congress’s stance on issues related to China and Gaza, referencing a statement by BJP National President Nitin Naveen. Gupta stated that Naveen has effectively held Congress accountable for compromising the nation’s security and integrity during its 60 years in power.
He remarked, “The term ‘compromise’ fits Congress perfectly. They compromised when discussing Vande Mataram, and they compromised due to appeasement during the partition. Congress gifted Tibet to China and sacrificed Aksai Chin. The history of Congress is one of compromise.” Gupta urged Congress to reflect on its past, asserting that the nation continues to pay the price for these compromises.
He further emphasized that since the Modi government took office, the approach has shifted from “compromise” to “no compromise.” Under Modi’s leadership, there is zero tolerance for terrorism and no compromise on corruption. Gupta advised Congress not to speak of compromises, highlighting that the AI summit has compromised the hard work of 1.4 billion citizens. He questioned whether Congress is ready to apologize to the public for its past compromises and engage in an honest discussion about them.
Gupta noted that the public is aware of these issues, which is why Congress has not been able to win in any state or local elections. He warned that if Congress regains power, it would revert to its politics of compromise. He pointed out that in the few states where Congress remains, such as Telangana and Karnataka, compromises continue, whether in terms of corruption or appeasement.
