Jaipur, February 4: The Rajasthan Assembly’s budget session is underway, with discussions on the Governor’s address continuing on Wednesday. The assembly proceedings will commence at 11 AM with the question hour, where various significant issues will be raised.
During the question hour, inquiries related to key departments such as technical education, higher education, AYUSH, industry and commerce, sports, and youth affairs will be addressed. The opposition will seek answers from the government regarding its plans and policies, while the government will present its achievements and future strategies.
The list of starred questions includes 21 inquiries, while there are 22 unstarred questions. Discussions will focus on departments associated with Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Jain, including industry, public health engineering, water resources, tribal area development, revenue, urban development, and energy. Various schemes and projects related to these departments will be questioned in the assembly.
Minister Kirori Lal Meena will present six notifications related to disaster management assistance and civil safety. Additionally, several important notifications will be tabled in the house. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari will present 27 notifications from the finance department, while Dr. Pramod Jain will introduce a notification from the transport department.
Moreover, Home State Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham will present six notifications from the disaster management assistance and civil safety department. Seven notifications from the home department will also be introduced.
Annual reports will be presented in the assembly as well. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari will present the annual report of the Rajasthan Jan Aadhar Authority, while Minister Sumit Godara will present the annual report of the Rajasthan State Minority Commission.
The debate on the Governor’s address was extended for another day, which will continue. The state government will respond to the Governor’s address on Thursday. This budget session provides a significant opportunity for in-depth discussions on the state government’s policies and plans.
During the debate on the Governor’s address, Congress legislators are expected to adopt an aggressive stance. BJP legislators will retaliate regarding alleged scams during the Congress regime. Due to the political confrontation, disruptions in the house are anticipated.
