Bagaha, February 9: Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraj, inaugurated the “Bihar Renovation Journey” on Sunday in Bagaha, West Champaran district. He stated that the goal of Jan Suraj is to establish a strong, honest, and accountable political alternative in Bihar. The organization is actively working among the people to achieve this aim.
Kishor emphasized that Jan Suraj remains active among the public even after the Bihar Assembly elections. Under the “Bihar Renovation Campaign,” efforts are underway to strengthen the organization in every district. He explained that the main objectives of this journey are to reconnect with old associates, engage new individuals, and empower the grassroots structure of the organization.
He clarified that he is embarking on this journey to strategize with fellow members and reorganize the structure in every district. Kishor referenced the Bihar government’s promise to provide two lakh rupees to women during the elections, stating that Jan Suraj will ensure that every woman receives this amount by going door-to-door.
He warned that if the government fails to fulfill this promise, it will be evident that the announcement was merely for electoral gain. Kishor appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to expedite the disbursement of the promised funds to the women of Bihar.
In a cautionary tone, he stated that if the government does not deliver on this promise, Jan Suraj will robustly raise this issue alongside the public. Regarding the differences within the RJD and Congress alliance, Kishor remarked that the people of Bihar have already defined everyone’s roles in the elections.
He noted that the NDA has received the mandate to govern, while the RJD has been assigned the role of opposition in the Assembly. Jan Suraj has been entrusted with the responsibility of addressing public issues while remaining engaged with society. The organization is committed to fulfilling this responsibility with utmost sincerity.
