New Delhi, February 5: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey recently targeted former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the Nehru-Gandhi family, prompting a response from MP Pappu Yadav. Yadav emphasized that Nehru’s contributions are recognized worldwide and that history cannot be rewritten.
Pappu Yadav, also known as Rajesh Ranjan, stated, “The world knows that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru donated all his wealth to the nation. He spent 11 years in prison and slept on the ground for nearly a decade. During a time when the national budget was in the millions, Nehru elevated India to great heights.”
He further remarked that if India is considered a strong and respected nation today, it is due to the efforts of leaders from Nehru to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Yadav also criticized Rahul Gandhi‘s remarks calling Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu a ‘traitor,’ linking it to a perceived insult to the Sikh community by Hardeep Singh Puri. He asserted, “Everyone knows about Hardeep Singh Puri’s character. He has been declared a three-time traitor. He lacks knowledge of Sikhism and its history.” Yadav emphasized that the Sikh community never accepts traitors and that their sacrifices for the country are unparalleled.
Additionally, Pappu Yadav responded to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee‘s decision to take the SIR issue to the Supreme Court. He stated, “It is everyone’s right to raise questions in a democracy and seek justice through constitutional means.” Previously, Yadav had referred to Banerjee as the ‘Queen of Jhansi.’
On the stringent regulations imposed by the government regarding girls’ hostels in Bihar, Pappu Yadav expressed his support. He said, “For the past 20 years, I have been advocating for CCTV installation in girls’ hostels, banning male entry, police verification, and the presence of wardens 24/7.”
Yadav concluded, “You can insult me as much as you want, or even try to harm me, but my fight is for the safety of our daughters.”
