Mumbai, February 5: Veteran actor Nana Patekar is renowned in Indian cinema for his hard work, dedication, and professionalism. Currently, he is in the spotlight for his upcoming film ‘O Romeo.’ The film’s producers have shared insights into his commitment to his craft.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, ‘O Romeo’ features an intense action scene filmed on a train set. Bhardwaj revealed that Patekar was battling a high fever of 102 degrees during the shoot. The entire team was concerned for his health, as doctors advised him to rest.
However, Patekar chose to continue filming. He did not want to disrupt the shoot due to his condition. Remarkably, he completed the scene after four continuous hours of shooting.
The film’s first song, ‘Ishq Ka Fever,’ has already been released. Sung by superstar Arijit Singh and composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the lyrics are penned by Gulzar. The romantic track showcases the beautiful chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri.
In ‘O Romeo,’ alongside Patekar, notable actors include Shahid Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, Avinash Tiwari, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Farida Jalal. The film is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai.’ Shahid plays a mafia don named Hussain Ustra, while Tripti portrays Sapna, also known as Sapna Didi.
Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson ENTERTAINMENT, the film is set to hit theaters on February 13, 2026.
