New Delhi, February 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to President Droupadi Murmu’s address in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. During his speech, he accused the Congress party of betrayal.
He stated that Congress has even betrayed the farmers of our nation. There are 10 crore farmers in this country with less than 2 hectares of land. Small farmers have often been overlooked, but we have a deep concern for them. Understanding the ground realities, we introduced the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, through which we have transferred 4 lakh crore rupees to small farmers in a short span of time.
The Prime Minister criticized Congress’s governance style, describing it as one of delay and diversion. He remarked that they only know the model of jeeps and mules. He recalled that before his birth, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel envisioned building a dam on the Narmada River. The project was confirmed, but it was only inaugurated by him as Prime Minister, despite Nehru laying the foundation stone. This reflects Congress’s legacy.
Modi emphasized that they are laying the groundwork for a developed India, while Congress is focused on digging graves. He questioned what kind of love leads to such actions against the citizens of the country, suggesting it disrespects the Constitution.
He further stated that Congress can only imagine solutions, lacking any connection to implementation. The Bogibeel Bridge, a significant infrastructure project connecting Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, had been delayed for decades. Under the progress initiative, they reviewed and successfully completed the project, benefiting the northeastern region of India.
Modi expressed confidence in the capabilities of 140 crore citizens to provide solutions to challenges, asserting that while Congress views citizens as problems, he believes that every challenge can be met with 140 crore solutions.
