Bhubaneswar, February 5: The Odisha government announced significant changes among its senior IAS officers on Thursday, implementing a major reshuffle in key departments. The Government issued a notification that takes effect immediately.
According to the notification, Devaranjan Kumar Singh will continue as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Steel and Mines Department. Surendra Kumar has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of General Administration and Public Grievances, while also overseeing the Department of Parliamentary Affairs.
Additionally, Bishnupada Sethi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Odisha Forest Development Corporation and will also serve as the Chief Administrator of KBK. Chitra Arumugam has been assigned the role of Training Coordination Director at the Gopalbandhu Academy of Administration.
Dr. Arvind Kumar Padhi has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, while also retaining his position as the Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration in Puri.
IAS officer Usha Padhi has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, while Sanjeev Kumar Mishra has been relieved of his additional responsibilities.
Furthermore, Suresh Kumar Vashistha has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Shubha Sharma will serve as the Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department, and NBS Rajput will take on the role of Principal Secretary of the Commerce and Transport Department, also overseeing the CMD of OSRTC.
Girish S.N. has been given additional responsibilities as the Chairman of the Odisha Mining Corporation. Dr. Mrinalini Darswal has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Women and Child Development Department. Meanwhile, Rajesh Prabhakar Patil has been relieved of his additional responsibilities in the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment. Rashmita has been assigned the role of Vice Chairperson of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority and Managing Director of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited.
Manasi Nimbhal has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Mission Shakti Department. IAS officer Prem Chandra Chaudhary has been given the responsibilities of Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Department of Fisheries and Animal Resources Development.
