Major Loan Camp Held in Bhagalpur to Boost Entrepreneurship

Bhagalpur, February 6: A significant loan approval and distribution camp was organized on Friday at the premises of the Silk House in Bhagalpur. The event was held under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Industry Upgradation Scheme (PMFME), chaired by District Magistrate Dr. Nawal Kishore Chaudhary.

The camp saw the participation of key officials including the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), General Manager of the District Industries Centre (GM DIC), NEP Director, Lead District Manager (LDM), and Assistant Director of Industries (ADI) Ambrish Anand, along with representatives from various banks and numerous entrepreneurs.

During the camp, the District Magistrate personally handed over loan cheques to selected entrepreneurs. In his address, he emphasized that the primary aim of these schemes is to connect youth with self-employment, transforming them into ’employment providers.’ He praised the enthusiasm of the entrepreneurs and encouraged them to diligently advance their startups.

The Deputy Development Commissioner highlighted the crucial role of banks in promoting the industrial environment in the district. He commended bankers for timely loan approvals and stated that the expansion of micro-industries is possible only through effective coordination between the administration and banks.

At the conclusion of the event, Project Manager Rakesh Kumar expressed gratitude to all guests, bank officials, and entrepreneurs present. He reiterated the commitment of the industry department to provide all possible support to entrepreneurs.
