Kishatwar Police Enhances Preparedness for Law and Order Maintenance

Kishatwar, February 22: A review meeting on crime and security was held at the district police office in Kishatwar on Saturday. The meeting was chaired by SSP Naresh Singh. Its primary aim was to assess the law and order situation in the district and evaluate police preparedness.

This meeting is part of the police’s regular review process aimed at enhancing crime control measures, strengthening security arrangements, and ensuring police readiness to tackle any challenges. Officials from Kishatwar, Chhatru, Atholi, and Marwah sub-divisions reported on crime status, achievements, security concerns, and actions taken in their respective areas.

The meeting also reviewed pending investigations, compliance with previous directives, and progress in expediting case resolutions. The SSP emphasized improving the quality of investigations, ensuring accountability, and expediting case resolutions in accordance with legal procedures.

A detailed review of the district’s security situation was conducted. Instructions were given to enhance security in sensitive areas, strengthen checkpoints, and maintain a high alert status. Officials reported that search operations, night patrols, and coordination with other security agencies, including the Central Reserve Police Force, are being conducted to maintain peace.

The SSP instructed officials to conduct regular patrols, keep records updated, and gather intelligence. He also emphasized the installation and monitoring of CCTV cameras at critical locations.

The ongoing campaigns against drug trafficking and cattle smuggling were also reviewed, with directives for strict action against those involved.

SSP Naresh Singh urged officials to remain active in the field, promote Community Policing, and stay vigilant in maintaining law and order. He stressed the importance of gathering intelligence and taking timely action to uphold peace and public order.

The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Singh Goria, Nisar Ahmed Khoja, DSP Headquarters Dr. Ishaan Gupta, SDPO Atholi Vijay Bhagat, station house officers, investigating officers, and other officials from the Jammu and Kashmir police.
