Kiren Rijiju Comments on Kejriwal and Sisodias Acquittal

Dharamshala, February 28: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju responded to the acquittal of Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, and party leader Manish Sisodia in the alleged Delhi liquor scam case. He stated that higher courts exist to rectify any wrong decisions made by lower courts.

During his visit to Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, Rijiju addressed the media regarding Kejriwal and Sisodia. He remarked, “This is a standard procedure. If there is an error in the lower court’s ruling, the case can be taken to a higher court for correction. If a wrong decision is made or if the facts are not properly examined, an appeal can be filed in the higher court, where a correct judgment can be rendered.”

Additionally, Rijiju commented on the Youth Congress’s protest at the AI Summit. He mentioned, “I do not have much information about the case, but I have been told that there is a conspiracy behind it, with some connections involved. However, I am not currently handling the Home Ministry, so I have not been fully briefed on this matter.” He emphasized the need to resolve whatever issue exists.

Regarding his visit to Himachal Pradesh, Rijiju expressed his fondness for the hilly state. He stated, “Himachal is a mountainous state, and I really enjoy coming here. I frequently visit. This time, there are some projects in the Chamba site area related to my ministry. The work on these projects is ongoing.”

He further noted, “Previously, I visited Lahaul-Spiti, where several projects are also underway from our ministry. Currently, I will be visiting Chamba and then returning to Delhi.”
