
Gandhinagar, February 15: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met with newly elected representatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Kerala on Saturday. The delegation is visiting the state following the party’s victory in the Thiruvananthapuram municipal elections.
This visit is part of the ‘BJP for Developed Kerala’ initiative, aimed at enhancing development efforts in Kerala by learning from Gujarat’s administrative and organizational models.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Patel emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s guidance, Gujarat has embraced urban development as an opportunity, achieving new dimensions of overall progress. He expressed confidence that the state’s development model would inspire Kerala’s representatives to energize their local development initiatives.
Patel also noted that this study tour would significantly contribute to the vision of a “Developed Kerala.”
In the afternoon, the 11-member delegation visited the Gujarat BJP state office, ‘Shri Kamalam.’ The delegation was led by K. Soman, the state vice president of Kerala BJP, and included leaders recently elected in Kerala’s local body elections.
They were welcomed by Gujarat BJP state president Jagdish Vishwakarma, organizational secretary Ratnakarji, and other party officials.
According to party sources, the delegation toured various departments of the state office, gaining insights into operational methods, digital management systems, coordination techniques, and organizational processes.
The members also engaged in discussions with Vishwakarma and Ratnakarji regarding administrative and organizational practices.
The delegation included K. Soman, Vinaychandra N. R., Vishnu Mohan, R. Vinod Kumar, P. T. Madhu, Binu Raj V., Navya Haridas, Girija Valiyaparambil, Anita Eranad, Bindu Harikumar, and Vinita V.
This visit is part of an effort to share governance and organizational experiences among party units across different states.
