India Issues High Alert Following Khameneis Death Amid Protests

New Delhi, March 3: In response to the escalating situation in the Middle East, India has declared a high alert. The Ministry of Home Affairs and security agencies have instructed all states to monitor suspicious individuals and deploy police forces to maintain law and order across the country. This measure aims to ensure peace and stability.

Protests have erupted in various states in support of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an attack by the United States and Israel. Some individuals are attempting to spread confusion through social media. In response, police and administrative authorities have issued stern warnings regarding the use of social media. Citizens are urged to refrain from posting, sharing, or forwarding any offensive, inflammatory, or unwanted content. Rumors and misleading messages can disrupt the atmosphere and pose a serious challenge to law and order.

Authorities have stated that while the right to express opinions peacefully and legally is respected, any form of violence, damage to public property, or confrontation with security forces will not be tolerated. Such incidents lead to loss of life and property and create difficulties for society as a whole.

The police have warned that strict legal action will be taken against any violations. Elements involved in illegal activities, inciters, and anti-social individuals will be identified and dealt with firmly.

In this context, local police in Karnataka’s Bandipora district have appealed to citizens to cooperate in maintaining law and order. The police administration emphasized that ensuring peace and security is a collective responsibility, urging people to avoid any activities that could disrupt public order.

In their appeal, the police advised against involvement in vandalism, riots, stone-pelting, or any form of disturbance. Such actions are not only illegal but also cause significant hardship for the general public, businesses, students, and daily wage workers. Violence and unrest can lead to the closure of educational institutions, disruptions in movement, and impacts on economic activities.
