New Delhi, February 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi ranks among the world’s most popular leaders, a testament to his vision and leadership. A recent report by the UAE’s Khaleej Times highlights India’s rapid progress under Modi’s guidance, which has garnered global attention.
According to the report, India has experienced significant economic and social transformations over the past decade, establishing itself as one of the most influential emerging powers of the 21st century.
This development narrative extends beyond a few metropolitan areas, impacting various states across the country. Gujarat continues to strengthen its role as an industrial and logistics hub by capitalizing on investments in ports, manufacturing clusters, and renewable energy.
The report notes that Tamil Nadu has achieved remarkable heights in automobile manufacturing, electronics, and advanced industrial production, alongside investments in skill development and exports. Mumbai leads the way in modernizing financial services infrastructure and fostering innovation-driven enterprises.
States once considered economically backward are also making strides in development. Uttar Pradesh serves as a prime example, having invested heavily in expressways, industrial sectors, and urban infrastructure, enhancing connectivity between cities and opening new avenues for investment.
Khaleej Times further mentions that Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are focusing on agriculture-related industries, clean energy, and logistics. Odisha has emerged as a significant hub for metals, minerals, and manufacturing, supported by improved ease of doing business.
In southern India, Karnataka, particularly Bengaluru, has solidified its global identity as a technology and innovation hub, moving beyond IT services to startup research and new technologies. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have bolstered their capabilities in pharmaceuticals, food processing, and digital services, leading to increased exports and job creation.
The report also highlights that one of the most significant changes over the past decade has been India’s investment in institutional and social infrastructure. A robust child welfare system has strengthened human capital development across states.
