Four Arrested in Shocking Badarpur Murder Case

New Delhi, February 6: In a significant development in the Badarpur murder case, police have arrested four individuals, including the main suspect. Authorities are currently interrogating the suspects and proceeding with legal actions.

The shocking incident occurred on the night of February 5, around 10 PM, near a public toilet and an Ayurvedic hospital in the Gautampuri area. Following a PCR call to the Badarpur police station, local officers, including the SHO and senior officials, rushed to the scene. A large crowd had gathered, and blood was splattered everywhere. The police quickly secured the crime scene and called in the District Crime Team for forensic investigation and photography.

Initial investigations and eyewitness accounts suggest that the altercation began over a minor issue. Reports indicate that a car’s side mirror was broken, leading to a heated argument between the two parties. However, the dispute escalated into violence due to a pre-existing rivalry. The situation intensified, resulting in a stabbing incident. Two young men sustained serious injuries during the attack.

The deceased has been identified as Arun, 25, who was involved in the clothing trade. The other injured individual, Shivam, also 25, works as housekeeping staff at AIIMS. Both were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Center in critical condition. Arun succumbed to his injuries, having suffered a severe stab wound to his gluteal area. Shivam was stabbed in the upper abdomen but is currently reported to be in stable condition.

Following the incident, Badarpur police formed multiple teams to conduct continuous raids, leading to the arrest of four suspects. The main accused is reportedly a minor. Alongside him, Amar, a marble polisher, another minor suspect, and 31-year-old Vicky, a driver by profession, were apprehended. Police have recovered the weapon used in the crime and blood-stained clothing from the suspects.

Charges have been filed under Section 103(1) for murder, Section 109 for attempted murder, and Section 3(5) for collective intent under the Indian Penal Code. Authorities state that a thorough investigation is ongoing, and strict legal action will be taken against all accused.
