BJP MP Releases List of 40 Books on Congress History

New Delhi, February 5: Amid ongoing debates in Parliament regarding former Army Chief General M.M. Naravane’s book, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has launched a counterattack against the Congress party and the Gandhi family. He has shared a list of 40 books that he claims reveal India’s “true history” and highlight alleged controversies linked to the party’s past governance.

Dubey posted the list on the social media platform X, stating that these books cover historical narratives, the Emergency period between 1975 and 1977, critiques of dynastic politics, and other relevant details. He asserted that the books shed light on the controversial aspects of Congress rule.

The BJP MP made 40 separate posts on X, each detailing the title, author, and summary of one book from his list. He argued that instead of discussing unverified materials, Parliament should consider these already published and publicly available works. According to Dubey, these books illuminate the true history of the Nehru-Gandhi family and Congress governments.

This incident unfolded after a heated debate in Parliament earlier this week. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of the 2020 India-China standoff, referencing a magazine article that mentioned an “unpublished book” by the former Army Chief.

He further claimed that the book also discusses Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. The ruling party strongly opposed these claims, demanding that Gandhi adhere to parliamentary rules and present only “authentic sources” within the House.

The controversy escalated when Gandhi brought M.M. Naravane’s book to the Parliament complex and presented it to the media. Subsequently, Nishikant Dubey brought several books to the Lok Sabha and read excerpts during the proceedings. The opposition protested and created a ruckus when excerpts from Dubey’s books were read aloud in the House.

Dubey stated that the 40 books he mentioned are just a small fraction of the available material. He alleged that at least 150 such books have been published, exposing “fraud, corruption, and unethical relationships” associated with the Nehru-Gandhi family.
