New Delhi, February 9: BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia has targeted Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. He stated that the time of the Lok Sabha is being wasted as Gandhi refuses to relent on his stubbornness.
In a conversation in New Delhi, Chandolia remarked that Gandhi is raising questions that cannot be discussed in the Lok Sabha at this time. Current topics of discussion include China, Doklam, and General Naravane, none of which are being addressed by Gandhi. He emphasized that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has repeatedly stated that issues not officially disclosed cannot be raised in the Lok Sabha. Gandhi’s obstinacy is disrupting the proceedings, preventing other MPs from voicing their concerns.
When asked about allegations made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma against Gaurav Gogoi‘s wife, Chandolia stated that this issue keeps resurfacing. He urged the Indian government to investigate. If any connections to Pakistan emerge, appropriate actions should be taken.
Regarding the proposal to award the Bharat Ratna to Veer Savarkar, BJP MP Chandolia echoed the sentiments of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, affirming that Savarkar is indeed deserving of the honor. He described Savarkar as a staunch Hindu leader who fought against the British.
On questions regarding the India-U.S. trade deal, Chandolia dismissed the opposition’s concerns, stating that reducing tariffs from 50% to 18% is beneficial for the country. He credited Prime Minister Modi’s diplomacy for successfully negotiating the deal with Trump.
When discussing preparations for the Bengal elections, Chandolia expressed confidence in BJP’s support among the public. He predicted that Mamata Banerjee‘s departure is inevitable, citing her controversial plans to settle Rohingyas from Bangladesh in Bengal, which has angered many citizens.
In reference to the Delhi government, Chandolia congratulated Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on completing a year in office. He noted that the government is successfully progressing towards the goals for which the people of Delhi elected them. On this occasion, BJP National President Nitin Naveen and Chief Minister Gupta presented 4,000 buses to Delhi citizens from Ramleela Maidan. According to Gupta’s 2026 plan, Delhi will have a total of 7,500 buses. Chandolia remarked that during Arvind Kejriwal’s tenure, buses were often idle on the streets, whereas under the BJP government, electric buses are operational, traffic congestion has decreased, and pollution levels have significantly dropped.
