Patna, February 9: Bihar Minister Ramkripal Yadav has hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi‘s recent statements in the Lok Sabha. He asserted that Gandhi and his party have lost relevance among the people of Bihar.
Gandhi had alleged that the suspicious death of a NEET student in Patna and the subsequent actions revealed the deep-rooted corruption in the system. He claimed that when the victim’s family demanded a fair investigation and justice, the old BJP-NDA model reared its head. He stated that the arrest of fellow MP Pappu Yadav, who stood firmly for justice for the victim, was a clear act of political retribution aimed at silencing dissenting voices.
In response, Minister Ramkripal Yadav noted that Pappu Yadav‘s arrest was linked to a 31-year-old case. He emphasized that regardless of the case’s age, the law must take its course. He declared that the Congress party’s presence in Bihar has diminished significantly, with no one paying attention to them.
Regarding the protests at Jantar Mantar related to the NEET student’s death, Yadav remarked that political parties are exploiting the situation. He confirmed that the CBI has taken over the case and assured that no wrongdoers will be spared.
On Tejashwi Yadav‘s statements, Yadav remarked that the BJP is a party that does not engage in Politics of murder or violence. He suggested that if someone’s political existence is waning due to their actions, they should reflect on why the public is distancing themselves instead of blaming others. He pointed out that the Congress party’s seats have plummeted from 75 to 25 and are on the verge of extinction.
Regarding Nitin Naveen’s visit to Bihar, Yadav mentioned that the BJP’s national president is visiting for the first time, and preparations are underway to welcome him.
Addressing opposition queries about the India-U.S. trade deal, Yadav stated that under PM Modi’s leadership, all trade agreements, whether with the U.S. or other countries, have safeguarded farmers’ interests. He accused the Congress party of spreading confusion.
