Bihar Budget Aims for Development, Says JD(U) Spokesperson

Patna, February 5: JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar responded to several key issues, including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Bihar Budget, the SIR matter, Rahul Gandhi‘s remarks, and national security.

Regarding the Bihar budget, Neeraj Kumar stated that it has been presented with the goal of achieving a “developed Bihar.” He emphasized, “Under Nitish Kumar‘s leadership, this government has transformed the rural landscape. Changes are evident in infrastructure, education, and connectivity.” He described the budget as one that strengthens Bihar’s future.

In response to the strict regulations set by the Bihar government for girls’ hostels, Neeraj Kumar noted that Bihar has lagged in education for a long time. Even years after independence, there were 24 subdivisions in Bihar without a single degree college. He highlighted that the new initiative will improve connectivity, technological facilities, and create new opportunities for empowering daughters.

Addressing the questions raised by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding SIR, Neeraj Kumar stated that it is entirely a matter for the Election Commission. “I am not a spokesperson for the Election Commission, but it is important to remember that the Election Commission is a constitutional body.” He added that SIR has been conducted before without objections. Neeraj Kumar accused some individuals of not reinstating BLOs and then blaming the Election Commission.

Neeraj Kumar objected to Rahul Gandhi referring to Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu as a “traitor friend.” He stated, “The Constitution of this country does not permit such language. According to parliamentary traditions, this term is also considered unparliamentary.” He questioned the context in which someone is labeled a traitor, stating that while one may be the leader of the opposition, their language has sunk to a low level.

In response to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s comments about Rahul Gandhi, Neeraj Kumar remarked that such remarks against individuals or communities who played a role in the freedom struggle are completely unacceptable. The Sikh Regiment is a pride of the nation, and the entire country takes pride in it. If the Sikh community feels hurt, Rahul Gandhi should reflect on this; otherwise, the public will force him to reconsider.

On National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s statement, Neeraj Kumar asserted that it clearly indicates India’s strong stance. “We are not beggars, and we know how to exert global pressure when necessary.” It is noteworthy that Ajit Doval stated that India will not succumb to pressure.
