Anurag Kashyaps Kennedy Set to Premiere on G5

Los Angeles, February 9: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s highly anticipated film ‘Kennedy’ is set to premiere on G5 on February 20. The trailer has already been released, showcasing themes of violence, pain, and the struggle for liberation. Actor Rahul Bhatt shared insights about his character in the upcoming film.

The trailer offers a glimpse into a profound narrative, immersing viewers in a world filled with silence, anger, and the fight for survival. Bhatt explained, “Playing the role of Kennedy has transformed me. He is isolated, extremely angry, and internally fragile. He is constantly fleeing from his past. His struggle to live amidst silence and rage is both exhausting and enlightening. Seeing the audience’s connection has boosted my confidence. I eagerly await the moment when viewers can witness Kennedy’s pain, his journey, and his quest for freedom.”

The film’s storyline is rooted in Mumbai’s underworld. Kennedy Uday Shetty (played by Rahul Bhatt) is a former police officer turned contract killer. He leads a double life as a cab driver while carrying out murders for corrupt police commissioner Rashid Khan. After losing his son and grappling with family trauma, Kennedy finds himself in a city that brings his past to light. He becomes entangled in bomb blasts, extortion rackets, and the schemes of powerful individuals. This sets off a violent race for truth, revenge, and freedom.

The film promises intense action and striking visuals. Anurag Kashyap remarked, “‘Kennedy’ is one of my most special films. Its journey has been long, but the reactions we received at festivals reassured us that we made the right decisions. The trailer introduces you to Kennedy’s world, a man who appears violent on the outside but is deeply wounded within. I am pleased that G5 is bringing it to audiences without any cuts.”

Sunny Leone also discussed her character Charlie, stating, “‘Kennedy’ challenged me as an actor, taking me to a very different emotional place. Charlie is mysterious, delicate, and strong. Working with Anurag taught me to trust silence. This experience was both challenging and rewarding. I can’t wait for the audience to explore this dark yet beautiful world.”

The film features Mohit Takalkar, Megha Barman, Aamir Dalvi, Abhilash, and Karishma Modi in significant roles. ‘Kennedy’ is set to premiere on G5 on February 20.
