Amit Shah Reviews Anti-Naxal Operations in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, February 9: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is currently on a three-day visit to Chhattisgarh. On Sunday, he held a review meeting in Raipur with the Chhattisgarh government and officials to assess anti-Naxal operations.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Shah stated, “The security-centric strategy, infrastructure development, strikes on the Naxal financial network, and the surrender policy have yielded positive results. By March 31, Naxalism will be completely eradicated.”

He further emphasized that Chhattisgarh, once a stronghold of Naxalite violence, has transformed into a symbol of development under the BJP’s double-engine government. The youth here are advancing in sports, forensic, and technical education while also preserving their culture and traditions. Shah conducted a review meeting on various development projects in Raipur.

Following this, Amit Shah participated in a national conclave titled “Chhattisgarh 25: Shifting the Lens,” organized by the weekly magazine Organizer’s India edition.

He remarked, “It is a coincidence that the President of the European Commission recently stated that when India succeeds globally, it benefits not only India but also contributes to global stability, prosperity, and security. Today’s discussions focus on these three concepts: security, prosperity, and stability, which are vital for any institution, nation, or state.”

Targeting the Congress party, he said, “When movements were taking place for Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand, the Congress government was in power for a long time. It was often said that the opposition lacked important issues, which is why the idea of creating separate states was raised.”

The Union Home Minister further noted, “Many people view governance merely as an administrative process, but I have an example for them. Over the past three decades, there are two instances: one during the tenure of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s BJP government and the other during Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s UPA government. In both cases, the states were reorganized.”

It is noteworthy that the Union Home Minister will be visiting Bastar on February 9, where he will be the chief guest at the ‘Bastar Pandum-2026’ event, concluding the program.
