Ahan Shetty Reflects on Legacy in Border-2 Success

Mumbai, February 8: The multi-starrer film ‘Border-2’ has crossed the impressive milestone of 300 crores in India. The movie tells the story of four brave soldiers, featuring Ahan Shetty in a pivotal role.

The actor portrays a naval officer, and filming presented significant challenges for him, especially since his father, Suniel Shetty, was part of the original ‘Border’ film. In a recent conversation, Ahan expressed his feelings about not being able to shoot alongside his father and the pressure of carrying on his legacy.

Reflecting on this, Ahan said, “Unfortunately, we couldn’t shoot the final scene together. I wanted to work with him, but he was part of the original ‘Border,’ while I am in ‘Border-2.’ I knew comparisons would be made, and I wanted to recreate that special scene he did in the first film.”

He added, “Initially, I was anxious about whether I could meet expectations, especially with the inevitable comparisons. However, I realized I needed to honor my father’s legacy without letting fear overwhelm me. I focused on delivering my performance honestly and diligently.”

Ahan also noted, “The positive response to the film indicates that audiences have appreciated my work, which brings me joy.”

Since the trailer’s release, comparisons between Ahan and Suniel Shetty have been rampant. However, Ahan has proven, with his father’s support, that he possesses immense talent in his own right.
