Holi: A Festival of Unity and Joy, Says Sanjay Seth

Ranchi, March 3: On the auspicious occasion of Holi, Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, extended his warm wishes to citizens across the nation. He emphasized the importance of celebrating this festival by setting aside old grievances and differences.

In a recent conversation, Seth described Holi as a beautiful festival that brings people closer together. “It is a time to forget past disputes and embrace one another,” he stated. He noted that any disagreements or conflicts from the past year can be resolved during this festive season.

Seth highlighted that Holi is a centuries-old celebration that should be observed with great enthusiasm. He urged everyone to celebrate not only Holi but also other religious festivals such as Diwali, Shivratri, and Sawan. He remarked, “Some individuals object to our celebrations, claiming that Holi wastes water. I ask them how much water they use to wash their cars or water their gardens. Yet, when Diwali comes, they celebrate with fireworks on December 25 and 31. What about that?”

He further mentioned, “We will definitely offer milk to Lord Shiva, as his name itself signifies purity.”

Seth also referenced the ‘Namo Shri Anna Holi Milan Samaroh,’ which has seen thousands of participants since 2023. He praised the Prime Minister’s commitment to promoting coarse grains and millet, stating that grains like bajra, jowar, ragi, and maize are now readily available. This initiative will contribute to better health and self-reliance among small farmers.

Wishing everyone a joyful Holi, Seth concluded, “May this festival bring happiness to all. The most significant Holi will be on August 15, 2047, when the Prime Minister’s vision for a developed India will be realized. On that day, the entire nation will be painted in the colors of progress.”
