
Pithampur, February 25: In a shocking incident in Pithampur, located in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, a minor girl in the 10th grade gave birth while taking an exam. The event occurred on Tuesday at a private school serving as an examination center for the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
The girl was in the middle of her mathematics exam when she suddenly complained of severe abdominal pain. She then went to the restroom, where she unexpectedly went into labor and delivered a baby boy. When she did not return after several minutes, concerned staff and an inspector heard the sound of a baby crying and rushed to the restroom door. The exam center management immediately contacted the 108 emergency ambulance service.
Both the student and her newborn were quickly transported to the community health center in Pithampur for medical care. Doctors confirmed that both mother and child are stable and doing well, currently under observation. The girl was brought to the center with her baby around 5 PM, and medical staff reported their condition as normal.
The incident caused panic among students and staff at the center. The police registered a zero FIR at the Pithampur police station and transferred the case to the Betma police jurisdiction in Indore, as the girl resides in Betma and was only at the Pithampur center for the exam.
In a statement to the media, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vijay Dabar confirmed the incident, stating that the girl was scheduled to take the exam on Tuesday. The zero FIR has been filed and sent to the Betma police station, as she is a resident of Indore.
During questioning, the victim revealed that she had been in contact with a boy for the past two years. The accused has been identified, and police are actively working to apprehend him. Legal action will be taken against the accused under relevant sections, including those pertaining to the protection of minors, and a thorough investigation into all aspects of the case will be conducted.
