President Murmu and PM Modi Extend Greetings on Statehood Day

New Delhi, February 20: On the occasion of the Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have extended their warm wishes.

President Droupadi Murmu took to the social media platform X to express her congratulations, stating, “Heartfelt greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on their Statehood Day. Both states are rich in natural beauty, cultural heritage, and entrepreneurial spirit. They continuously inspire the nation with their remarkable contributions and commitment to development. I wish for the ongoing progress and prosperity of the people in both states.”

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan congratulated Arunachal Pradesh on its Statehood Day through a post on X, saying, “This culturally rich state, filled with ecological diversity, boasts pristine Himalayan ranges, abundant biodiversity, beautiful monasteries, dense forests, vibrant tribal traditions, and unique festivals. Arunachal Pradesh truly exemplifies the harmony between nature and culture. May the state continue on the path of sustainable development, peace, and prosperity.”

While congratulating the people of Mizoram, he added, “Mizoram, enriched with natural beauty and diverse landscapes, is abundant in flora and fauna and is largely forested. With a high literacy rate and vibrant culture, this state serves as a model for social progress and community harmony. Mizoram advances with a strong example of balanced development rooted in its natural and cultural heritage, promoting sustainable development, lasting peace, and prosperity.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the people of Arunachal Pradesh, stating, “Arunachal Pradesh, filled with stunning landscapes and extraordinary cultural diversity, is a magnificent example of harmony between tradition and nature. Its enthusiastic and hardworking citizens play a crucial role in strengthening the nation’s progress. Additionally, the diverse tribal cultures of the state enrich our country immensely. I hope the state reaches new heights of development in the future.”

In another post, PM Modi congratulated the people of Mizoram, saying, “Mizoram is well-known for its breathtaking natural beauty and enduring cultural traditions. The strong community spirit here embodies the values of kindness and compassion. The rich Mizo heritage, reflected through tradition, music, and various aspects of daily life, is truly inspiring. May Mizoram continue to advance on the path of development and achieve new milestones in the coming years.”
