In a post on the social media platform X, Vice President Radhakrishnan stated, “Today marks the beginning of the India AI Impact Summit at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. He emphasized that by placing public good, accessibility, and Global Cooperation at the center of AI development, India aims to connect its technological strength with the scale and potential of the Global South, fostering shared progress worldwide.

Radhakrishnan quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who stated at last year’s AI Action Summit in Paris, “Some worry that machines may surpass humans in intelligence. However, the key to our collective future and shared destiny lies with us humans.” He stressed that AI must remain human-centered and responsibly directed, wishing for the summit’s grand success.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted that the AI Impact Summit would enhance global discussions on various aspects of artificial intelligence, including innovation, collaboration, and responsible use.

In his message on X, he welcomed leaders, industry captains, innovators, policymakers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts from around the world to the summit, which emphasizes humanity-centered development through AI.

Modi noted, “AI is transforming several sectors, including health, education, agriculture, governance, and enterprise. The AI Impact Summit will improve global dialogue on these aspects and more. I am confident that the outcomes will help create a future that is progressive, innovative, and opportunity-driven. With 1.4 billion people, India is at the forefront of AI transformation, showcasing our progress in both goals and responsibilities.”
