
New Delhi, February 13: American tech giant Apple is set to open its sixth store in India on February 26. The new location will be in the Borivali area of Mumbai, marking the company’s second store in the city. Apple’s business and production in India are rapidly expanding.
The iPhone maker revealed that the new store’s design is inspired by the concept of ‘more.’ This design has already been implemented in stores located in Hebbal, Bengaluru, Koregaon Park in Pune, and Noida. It reflects confidence, creativity, and modernity.
The Borivali store will open to the public at 1 PM on February 26. According to the company, this store will also benefit startups and business professionals, allowing customers to explore and purchase Apple’s latest products while receiving expert advice.
Specialists, creatives, and Genius Team members will assist customers at the store. Visitors can also participate in free sessions called ‘Today at Apple,’ where they can learn how to make the most of their devices and create new things.
Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook stated during an earnings call that the company achieved record revenue in India between October and December. He noted a strong double-digit growth in earnings from emerging markets like India.
Cook mentioned that the company opened its fifth store in India in December and is now planning to launch another new store in Mumbai. He also highlighted that the retail business has seen its best performance this quarter.
Apple’s year in India was notably strong in 2025. Reports indicate that iPhone sales increased by 24 percent compared to the previous year, while iPad sales saw a modest rise of 2 percent.
The report also noted that the iPhone 16 series has been the most successful for the company, accounting for 57 percent of total iPhone sales and becoming the best-selling iPhone series of the year.
