Lucknow, February 9: During the budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya condemned the opposition’s disruption of the Governor’s address. He stated that interrupting the Governor, who holds a constitutional position, undermines the dignity of democracy and parliamentary traditions.
Maurya emphasized that the Assembly is the highest platform of democracy, where decorum is expected. He expressed that the opposition’s refusal to listen to the address and their aggressive protests have tarnished the dignity of the House.
