Bomb Threat Emails Cause Alarm in Delhi Schools

New Delhi, February 9: A wave of panic swept through several prominent schools in the national capital on Monday morning after they received bomb threat emails. Following the alarming messages, school administrations promptly notified the police and fire department, leading to extensive searches across the affected campuses. So far, no suspicious items have been discovered.

The schools that received the threatening emails include Alcon School in East Delhi, Bal Bharati School in Rohini, Venkateshwar School, CM School, Mata Jai Kaur School in Ashok Vihar, and Jaspal Kaur School, among others.

Additionally, Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantt, Cambridge School in Srinivaspuri, Cambridge School in New Friends Colony (NFC), The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar, DTA School in INA, and Air Force School on Lodhi Road were also targeted with bomb threats.

The threatening emails were received by school managements in the morning. As a precaution, many schools evacuated students to safe areas, while some parents were asked to pick up their children immediately.

Upon receiving the alerts, teams from the Delhi Police, bomb disposal squad, and fire department arrived on-site to conduct thorough searches of the school premises. Reports indicate that no explosives or suspicious materials have been found at any school. The Delhi Police have registered a case regarding the threats.

It is noteworthy that several schools in Delhi have previously received similar threatening emails, which later turned out to be hoaxes. In recent months, schools, colleges, and government offices in Delhi have been subject to fake emails and calls of this nature. The police are currently investigating the source of the threatening emails. Cyber unit teams are working to track down the perpetrators through technical investigations. Security agencies have urged the public to remain calm but vigilant.
