Deputy CM Criticizes Akhilesh Yadav Amid Political Tensions

Lucknow, February 9: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has taken a jab at Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, suggesting that Yadav has been rattled since the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s significant defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections.

During a media interaction in Lucknow, Maurya asserted that it is certain the Samajwadi Party will face a major setback in the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. He accused Yadav of attempting to spread confusion regarding the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

Maurya elaborated on the SIT, stating that wherever mistakes occur, BJP workers fill out and submit forms ranging from Form 6 to Form 8. He claimed that neither Samajwadi Party nor Congress members have been obstructed in their efforts. Instead, he criticized them for not wanting to work, focusing solely on making allegations. He noted that they engage in Politics on social media rather than on the ground.

Yadav has reportedly become agitated since the RJD’s loss in Bihar, leading to his statements indicating that the Samajwadi Party’s defeat in Uttar Pradesh’s 2027 elections is inevitable. Maurya claimed that Yadav is making erratic statements and changing his narrative regarding the SIT daily. He accused Yadav of lacking genuine party workers, asserting that the party is instead filled with goons and mafia.
