Chinese Snowboarder Su Yiming Wins Bronze at Winter Olympics

Beijing, February 9: Chinese athlete Su Yiming secured a bronze medal in the men’s snowboard big air final at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on Sunday. This marks the first medal for the Chinese Sports delegation at this Winter Olympics.

A total of 12 competitors participated in the men’s big air final, with Su Yiming performing in the ninth position. In the first round, he executed an impressive frontside 1980 indie grab, earning a score of 88.25, placing him in second.

During the second round, Su attempted a backside 1980 indie grab but received a score of 73.75 due to a slight landing error. Nevertheless, he maintained his second position with a total of 162 points.

In the third and final round, he faced pressure but managed to score 80.25 points, securing the bronze medal with a total of 168.5 points.

The gold medal went to Coleman Veding from the United States, while the silver medal was awarded to Canada’s Mark McMorris.

Notably, from Beijing to Milan-Cortina, Su Yiming has now won a total of three medals across two Winter Olympic Games: one gold, one silver, and one bronze.
