Delhi Launches 500 Electric Buses to Combat Pollution

New Delhi, February 8: Nitin Naveen, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), inaugurated 500 electric buses in the national capital on Sunday. During the event, he praised Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s team for being results-oriented and accused the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of spreading misleading advertisements and failing to deliver on developmental initiatives.

Speaking at the launch event held at Ramleela Maidan to mark the first anniversary of the BJP government, Naveen emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming Delhi into a ‘developed city’ under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s leadership, characterized by comprehensive development, modern infrastructure, and improved civic amenities.

He criticized the former AAP government for making false promises to the public, asserting that the dream of development is now becoming a reality through various initiatives.

Naveen stated that the lies and deceit of the AAP have created problems for Delhi residents. He pointed out that while they erected large billboards and organized grand events, their development efforts were limited to paper.

He further noted that the overwhelming mandate received by the BJP in Delhi has raised public expectations regarding the fulfillment of promises. “I am confident that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will prove to be a results-oriented leader,” he said.

Describing the launch of electric buses as a significant step in combating air pollution, Naveen highlighted that making public transport popular is the most effective way to address vehicle pollution.

Sharing details on the social media platform X, he wrote about attending the event at Ramleela Maidan to celebrate the completion of one year of the Delhi government, where he inaugurated 500 electric buses and launched the Delhi-Panipat inter-state bus service.

He reiterated that Prime Minister Modi’s dream is for Delhi to be established as a ‘developed city’ with comprehensive development, modern infrastructure, and better civic facilities, and that this vision is now visible through various developmental initiatives under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s leadership.
