One of the standout films is “1942: A Love Story,” released in 1994, featuring Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala. Their on-screen chemistry captivated audiences. The film portrays a love story set against the backdrop of British colonial struggles, where Anil and Manisha’s characters navigate political unrest and family disapproval while deeply in love. Their journey is filled with ups and downs.

In 1996, “Khamoshi: The Musical,” starring Salman Khan, Manisha Koirala, and Nana Patekar, also made waves as a romantic drama. This film not only showcases love but also the theme of sacrifice. Manisha’s character is deaf and mute, and she falls in love with Salman Khan. Throughout the film, she balances her love and family obligations.

Another beloved film from 1998 is Anees Bazmee’s “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha,” which received immense love from audiences. Yash Chopra’s “Dil To Pagal Hai” remains a favorite among fans. The film features a love triangle involving Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Karisma Kapoor. Shah Rukh and Karisma are old friends until Madhuri enters the picture, sparking jealousy in Karisma, who realizes her love for Shah Rukh and plots to separate him from Madhuri.

It would be a crime to exclude Sooraj Barjatya’s “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” from this list, as it redefines love. The film tells the sweet love story of two young people from different families, where Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit fall for each other amidst wedding festivities.
