Shocking Case of Female Feticide Uncovered in Alwar, Rajasthan

Alwar, February 8: A disturbing case of female feticide has emerged in Alwar district, Rajasthan. On Sunday, police recovered the fetus of an eight-month-old girl from a plastic bundle, igniting public outrage. This incident has raised questions about social awareness and police response.

The discovery occurred in the Govindgarh area, between the villages of Baroli and Niyana, where a bundle wrapped in a salwar and plastic was found in the bushes. Reports indicate that the bundle was first spotted on Thursday, but locals dismissed it as garbage.

On Sunday morning, when the bundle was opened, villagers found the fetus inside. According to local residents, they informed the police about the incident that morning. However, they alleged that police arrived nearly an hour and a half later, during which a large crowd had gathered at the scene.

Villagers claimed that the police attributed the delay to a shortage of staff at the station, which reportedly fueled anger and frustration among the locals.

Before the police’s arrival, villagers took it upon themselves to protect the fetus from stray animals. They reportedly formed a protective barrier around the remains to prevent stray dogs from approaching.

Additionally, villagers accused a police officer of making an insensitive remark about their urgency, allegedly suggesting that a helicopter should be called to expedite the police response. This comment further heightened public anger.

Upon arrival, police took possession of the fetus and sent it to the Govindgarh Community Health Center. Authorities also seized the salwar and other items wrapped around the fetus as part of the investigation.

Police officials stated that a tag from a tailoring shop found on the salwar could provide crucial leads in identifying those responsible for the crime. Investigators are currently examining evidence to trace the source of the clothing and understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The police have assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway, with efforts focused on identifying those involved and pursuing appropriate legal action.
