Alwar, February 8: The Tiger International Half Marathon 2026 took place in Alwar, Rajasthan, on Sunday. The event saw participation from Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and actor Bhupender Hooda. Bhupender Singh emphasized that the event promotes unity and brotherhood within society.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma shared on the social media platform X, “I flagged off the Alwar Tiger International Half Marathon, realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Fit India.’ The enthusiasm of runners from across the country and abroad shows that Rajasthan is progressing with the commitment of ‘Healthy Body, Strong India.’ I extend my heartfelt wishes to all organizers and participants for the successful execution of this event.”
Union Minister and Alwar MP Bhupender Yadav stated in a media interaction, “This event is for social unity and brotherhood. There is no discrimination or caste difference here. People are celebrating it like a festival. It is for Alwar and its social cohesion. The marathon promotes fitness, environmental conservation, and cleanliness. I thank the national and international athletes who participated.”
Regarding his parliamentary constituency, he added, “My sole aim is to serve the people of Alwar, as long as their blessings are with me.”
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari remarked, “As I have always believed, every event should be celebrated with a purpose and meaning. Every effort is essential for the environment, community, and the happiness and fitness of people.”
She noted that international athletes also participated in the marathon and expressed hope that such events will be organized on a larger scale across the state in the future.
