Bhopal, February 7: Swami Paramahamsa Satchidananda Maharaj, the esteemed founder of the Dharkundi Ashram in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, passed away on Saturday at the age of 102. He took his last breath in a hospital in Mumbai. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his condolences on the demise of the revered spiritual leader.
In a statement, CM Yadav highlighted that Swami Paramahamsa Satchidananda Maharaj dedicated his entire life to service, meditation, and the welfare of humanity. He prayed to Baba Mahakal to grant the departed soul a place at His feet and to provide strength to the grieving followers to bear this immense sorrow.
Sharing his thoughts on social media platform ‘X’, CM Yadav stated that the news of Swami Paramahamsa Satchidananda Maharaj’s passing is profoundly sad. He reiterated that the swami’s life was devoted to service and the betterment of humanity. He prayed for the departed to find peace and for the bereaved followers to find the strength to endure their loss. Om Shanti.
Upon hearing the news of his passing, millions of his devotees across the country were filled with grief. His mortal remains were brought from Mumbai to the Dharkundi Ashram in Chitrakoot, where followers and devotees paid their last respects with tearful tributes. The ashram will hold a final viewing on Sunday, and according to tradition, the samadhi will be performed on Monday.
