Modis Visit to Malaysia Highlights Cultural Ties and Economic Partnerships

Kuala Lumpur, February 7: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a two-day visit to Malaysia, where he received a grand welcome. During his visit, PM Modi emphasized that India’s success is intertwined with Malaysia’s achievements. Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan praised Modi’s speech in Malaysia.

The Vice President shared a video clip of the Prime Minister’s address on the social media platform X, stating that Modi delivered an outstanding speech. He highlighted the historical and cultural ties between India and Malaysia, noting that the Indian diaspora serves as a bridge between the two nations.

In his address, PM Modi celebrated Tamil culture, describing it as a glorious gift from India to the world. He remarked that Tamil literature is timeless and Tamil culture is universal, evoking pride and joy among listeners. Additionally, he announced the establishment of the Thiruvalluvar Center, which was met with great appreciation.

The Vice President stated that such initiatives will undoubtedly enhance the global dissemination of our cultural heritage.

While addressing the Indian community in Kuala Lumpur, PM Modi said, “India is seen as a reliable partner for development. Whether it is the UK, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Oman, the EU, or the USA, these countries have trade agreements with India. Trust has become India’s strongest currency.”

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was also present at the event. PM Modi reiterated, “India’s success is Malaysia’s success. It is Asia’s success. Therefore, I say that the guiding word for our relationship is IMPACT. IMPACT stands for India-Malaysia Partnership for Advancing Collective Transformation.”

Upon his arrival in Kuala Lumpur, PM Modi was warmly welcomed at the airport by his Malaysian counterpart, along with Malaysia’s Human Resources Minister Ramnath Ramakrishnan and Deputy Foreign Minister Lukanisman Bin Awang Sauni. Following this, a cultural welcome showcased the shared heritage of both countries.
