Mumbai, February 7: Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra marks the one-year anniversary of her film ‘Mrs.’ On this special occasion, she shared a heartfelt video on her social media, expressing the film’s profound impact on her.
Sanya posted a behind-the-scenes video from the set of ‘Mrs.’, showcasing moments of shooting and fun. In the caption, she wrote, “It’s been a year since ‘Mrs.’ was released, and every time someone tells me how much the film has moved them, it stays with me in my heart and mind for a long time.”
She added, “I may not have the right words, but as a performer, I will always carry these stories with me and strive to portray women on screen with honesty and responsibility.”
Sanya also thanked her fans for their support, appreciation, and love for the film.
The story of ‘Mrs.’ revolves around Richa (played by Sanya Malhotra), who enters her in-laws’ home after marrying Diwakar (Nishant Dahiya). Richa steps into a new world where she must balance household responsibilities with traditional expectations and old rules.
Diwakar, a doctor, spends little time at home due to his work commitments, while Richa becomes busy managing the kitchen and household duties alongside her mother-in-law. The film depicts the challenges a new bride faces as she navigates household norms, culinary traditions, and societal expectations.
Directed by Aarti Kadav, ‘Mrs.’ is a remake of the original Malayalam film ‘The Great Indian Kitchen.’
