Mirzapur, February 7: Uttar Pradesh’s Water Power Minister, Swatantra Dev Singh, targeted the Congress party on Friday, accusing it of engaging in anti-national activities.
Minister Singh attended the 41st annual celebration of the National Convent School in Mirzapur. After the event, he spoke to reporters about the heated exchange between Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu at Parliament.
Singh stated, “The Congress party has not been serious since the country’s independence. If a tea seller becomes Prime Minister, he thinks about villages, the poor, and farmers. Today, the country is witnessing an extensive network of roads, new airports, and international airports being constructed. Article 370 has been revoked in Jammu and Kashmir, and the Ram Temple is being built in Uttar Pradesh. All issues within the country have been addressed, and the dignity of the poor and marginalized is being upheld.”
He further criticized the opposition, saying, “Congress has always opposed progress. They have supported Naxalism and terrorism at times. The Congress party has consistently engaged in anti-national activities. This is why the people of the country have rejected them. Today, Congress is nowhere to be found, yet they continue to make noise.”
Praising the Uttar Pradesh government, Singh remarked, “Uttar Pradesh sets the direction for the entire country. The residents of Uttar Pradesh produce Prime Ministers, sages, and industrialists. There is no regionalism, casteism, or dynastic Politics here. Everyone respects people from all over India and the world. This has resulted in the divine and grand Kumbh Mela, and the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Corridor has seen a record number of devotees. Uttar Pradesh attracts the highest number of tourists.”
