Madhya Pradesh to Establish Two Wildlife Centers Soon

Bhopal, February 7: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that Madhya Pradesh will soon establish two wildlife centers. Efforts are underway to expedite this initiative.

During a meeting at the Samatva Bhawan, located at the Chief Minister’s residence, Yadav discussed the construction of wildlife centers and rescue facilities with officials from the appointed consulting firm. He emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting tourism, especially wildlife tourism, in the state.

The wildlife centers will be built in Ujjain and Jabalpur, with consultants already appointed for both locations. These centers are expected to be completed in the near future.

Yadav instructed the consulting firm for the Ujjain wildlife center to design a safari-style zoo that offers visitors an immersive experience of various global forests. He proposed that the center cover approximately 500 hectares, incorporating an existing eco-tourism park of 50 hectares into the wildlife facility.

The Chief Minister stressed that this wildlife center should be unique, showcasing a diverse range of flora and fauna that distinguishes it from other facilities. He aims for the Phase 1 construction to commence in 2026, ensuring that Ujjain becomes a prominent forest tourism destination with safari experiences.

The center will feature both native and exotic species, designed to allow visitors to enjoy the facility at any time of day. The meeting concluded with a consensus on the establishment of the center in Ujjain and discussions on the construction processes and design.
