Student from Rudraprayag Engages with PM Modi in Unique Program

Rudraprayag, February 7: A moment of pride for the village of Palakurali in the Jakholi development block of Uttarakhand has arrived. Rohan Singh Rana, a ninth-grade student at the Government Higher Secondary School, directly interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha‘ program. This marks the first time a student from Rudraprayag district has participated in such a national-level event.

Rohan was selected from thousands of video messages sent from across the country. His science teacher, Ashwini Gaud, informed him about the selection, prompting Rohan to record and submit his video. The news of his selection brought joy to both the school and the village.

For the first time, Rohan traveled to New Delhi to attend the program, where he had the opportunity to converse with the Prime Minister. During the interaction, Modi encouraged students to adopt a positive outlook towards exams and to stay free from stress.

As a token of appreciation, Rohan presented the Prime Minister with traditional handicrafts made from ringal, along with a book written by his teacher, Ashwini Gaud.

Rohan credited his achievement to his parents, teachers, school administration, and villagers, emphasizing their crucial support. In an interview with a news agency, he shared that the Prime Minister advised children to remain stress-free during exams and to always think positively. He noted that the essence of Modi’s message was, “Enter with a smile and exit the exam center with a smile.”

Rohan expressed that meeting the Prime Minister and participating in the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha‘ program brought him immense joy, a feeling he finds hard to articulate. This experience will remain a memorable part of his life.
