U19 World Cup Final: India vs England Set for Showdown

Harare, February 6: Lubabalo Gcuma and Sean Hague have been appointed as on-field umpires for the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 final. The International Cricket Council (ICC) made this announcement on Thursday. The title match will take place between India and England at the Harare Sports Club on Friday.

Gcuma, from South Africa, has officiated during India’s 18-run victory over Bangladesh and Pakistan’s Super Six win, as well as England’s seven-wicket triumph against Bangladesh.

New Zealand’s Hague officiated during India’s semi-final win against Afghanistan but has not yet umpired any of England’s matches in the tournament. Zahid Basrat will serve as the third umpire, while Masudur Mukul will be the fourth umpire, and Graeme La Brooy will act as the match referee.

This will be the second time in Under-19 World Cup history that India and England face off in the final. The two teams previously met in the Under-19 World Cup 2022 final.
