On Thursday, the actress took to Instagram to share her experience during the song’s shoot, revealing that she had to dance barefoot, which resulted in blisters on her feet.
In her post, she shared a clip of the song featuring her alongside Suraj Pancholi. She wrote, “Yes, that’s me. Uri Uri Baba… It was extremely hot during the shoot, and I had to dance barefoot, which caused blisters on my feet.”
Fans have shown great appreciation for Sonam’s post, flooding the comments section with various reactions.
The song ‘Uri Uri Baba’, released in 1991, was sung by Usha Uthup, with lyrics penned by Anjaan and music composed by Bappi Lahiri.
‘Dushman Devta’, directed by Anil Ganguly, is an action-drama film featuring Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Aditya Pancholi, and Sonam in lead roles. The film tells the story of a village plagued by bandits and wild animals, with Dharmendra playing the role of a protector. Unfortunately, the film did not perform well at the box office, leading to significant losses for the producers.
The plot revolves around the villagers suspecting a reformed thief (Dharmendra) after the murder of Master Deenanath. They begin to see him as a deity, unaware of his hidden agenda in the village.
Sonam made a notable mark in Hindi cinema but left the industry prematurely for various reasons. She began her career in 1987 with a Telugu film but gained recognition with the song ‘Tirchi Topi’.
