New Delhi, February 5: The ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue 2026′ has provided a historic platform for the youth of the nation, where their suggestions were not only heard but also incorporated into the central budget for 2026. Millions of young individuals from across the country participated in this event, with a select few given the opportunity to present their ideas directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Notable participants included Kirti Shukla from Kanpur, Mayank Raj from Ranchi, and Shubhra Choubey from Vapi, Gujarat, whose suggestions made it into the budget.
Kirti Shukla from Kanpur described this experience as her greatest achievement. In an interview, she expressed, “I am extremely happy that my suggestions were taken seriously and included in the Union Budget. It felt like the first time that the voices of youth were not only heard but also propelled the nation’s progress.”
She thanked Prime Minister Modi, stating that this initiative is a strong effort to connect youth with nation-building. Kirti expressed confidence that such platforms will continue to provide opportunities for youth to share their thoughts and innovative policies. This achievement is a matter of pride for all of Uttar Pradesh.
Mayank Raj from Ranchi focused his ideas on agriculture during his presentation to the Prime Minister. He remarked, “I felt immense pride when I had the chance to present my ideas to PM Modi. People come to listen to the PM, but he created a platform where he came to listen to us.”
Mayank shared that his topic was agriculture, a subject close to the Prime Minister’s heart. He noted that the PM was excited about the youth bringing technology-related ideas. “Our suggestions found a place in the budget. If youth participate in policy-making, the goal of a developed India will be achieved in the near future. What could be more gratifying than that?”
Shubhra Choubey from Vapi presented her thoughts on the theme of ‘Youth in Democracy and Governance.’ A second-year BA Economics student at Rajyogeshwar University, Shubhra said, “Talking directly to the Prime Minister was an unimaginable and proud experience. When the PM of such a large country listens seriously to the ideas of youth, it instills a sense of confidence and responsibility.”
She noted that her ideas were not only heard but also included in policies and the budget. She felt proud when the Finance Minister described it as a youth-driven budget. Shubhra emphasized, “India has the largest youth population in the world. Today, youth are not just participants in discussions; they are partners in nation-building. The budget has addressed the aspirations of youth in areas like women empowerment, orange economy, startups, skills, and self-reliance.”
This event symbolizes Prime Minister Modi’s unwavering faith in the power of youth. All three participants unanimously stated that the inclusion of youth ideas in the budget shows that the government now considers youth as a real part of policy-making, rather than just a symbolic gesture. Kirti, Mayank, and Shubhra urged the youth of the country to think, contribute ideas, and actively participate in building a developed India.
The Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue has proven that youth are no longer just dreamers but are now architects of the nation’s future.
