Washington, February 5: President Donald Trump has asserted that he has not utilized AI interfaces like ChatGPT, yet he recognizes their significance. He emphasized that the U.S. is significantly ahead of China in the field of artificial intelligence and is prepared to invest more in this sector in the future.

In an interview with NBC News, Trump acknowledged that while he hasn’t used AI tools, he is well-informed about them. Responding to a question regarding layoffs in the U.S. due to AI, he shared his views on the nation’s preparedness, claiming that the U.S. is far ahead of Beijing in this regard.

“We are well ahead of China. In the AI race, the U.S. is not just ahead of China but the entire world,” Trump stated.

He further mentioned, “AI and automobile companies are establishing factories in America. AI requires a significant amount of electricity, so their plan is for every new factory to generate its own power.”

Trump claimed that large-scale developments in AI, auto plants, and other industries are underway in the U.S., indicating progress in every sector.

When asked about layoffs caused by AI, Trump remarked, “It was said that the internet would eliminate jobs, that robots would take jobs, and that everything would end jobs. If you are smart, you ultimately do very well.”

Additionally, the President reiterated that he does not use AI tools, admitting he has not engaged with popular AI interfaces like ChatGPT and cloud services. “I really haven’t, but I know everything about it. I think it is very important,” he stated.

During a televised show on Wednesday night, Trump acknowledged that being the President of the United States is the most challenging job. He said, “Being President is the most dangerous job. I worry about my safety, but I have to push that fear aside.”
