New Delhi, February 5: BJP MP Naresh Bansal has sharply criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. He accused Gandhi of attempting to spread chaos out of frustration and despair.
In an interview with a news agency, Bansal stated, “Such language should not be used in Politics. However, it seems that Rahul Gandhi is very disheartened and frustrated. Every issue he raises fails, and in that despair, he resorts to using low-level language. The leader of the opposition should not speak in such a manner.”
Bansal also responded to comments regarding former Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane’s book. He said, “Rahul Gandhi is creating a ruckus over excerpts from a book that has not yet been published, which a magazine has reported on. The leader of the opposition should be aware of the rules and procedures of the House. He is acting stubbornly and is in a position to spread chaos due to his frustration.”
Regarding the trade deal between India and the United States, Bansal remarked that the opposition is in despair and unable to take action. He suggested that opposition members should have listened to the central minister’s statement in Parliament before opposing the trade agreement.
He added, “Whenever discussions occur between two countries, both nations negotiate based on their interests. In the trade deal with the U.S., India considered all its interests, which is why there was a delay in the agreement.”
On the Supreme Court hearing concerning the Punjab Bengal government’s petition against the SIR, Bansal stated, “Mamata Banerjee can fight her case as she has studied law. The Supreme Court’s decision will be accepted by all.”
He alleged that Banerjee is frustrated because she has built a vote bank from people who came from Bangladesh, and the SIR process is affecting that vote bank. Bansal claimed, “There is corruption in West Bengal, and the law and order situation in the state is extremely poor. Opposition members in Bengal are being assaulted and threatened. This reflects Mamata Banerjee’s despair.”
