Rahul Gandhi Should Apologize for Traitor Remark, Says Rajasthan BJP Chief

New Delhi, February 5: Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore has demanded that Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, apologize for calling Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu a “traitor.” He warned that if Gandhi fails to apologize, the people of Rajasthan and Punjab will never forgive him.

Rathore criticized Gandhi’s actions, stating that his behavior outside Parliament was highly condemnable. While he acknowledged Gandhi’s right to protest, he deemed it inappropriate to label Bittu as a “traitor” during his departure. He emphasized that such language from a Member of Parliament towards a Union Minister is unacceptable. The people of Rajasthan and Punjab will not overlook this, and an apology is necessary. Rathore noted that Gandhi has a history of using inappropriate language.

In a sarcastic tone, Rathore questioned whether Gandhi comes to Parliament to wrestle, asserting that he claims he is not allowed to speak in the House. He stated that parliamentary procedures provide ample opportunity for members to speak, but Gandhi often fails to adhere to the rules. When serious topics are discussed in the House, he travels abroad to tarnish India’s image. Rathore urged Gandhi to refrain from using derogatory language when criticizing leadership.

He also commented on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee‘s disrespect for federalism, stating that her MPs do not communicate properly. If Banerjee has grievances, she should approach the Election Commission. He reiterated that the connection between the center and states is governed by rules and procedures. The issue of the SIR is not new; the electoral rolls have been revised multiple times. Every citizen has the right to vote, and only those concerned about development should be included in the voter list. He questioned how outsiders could be included. Everyone has the right to approach the Supreme Court, and if presented with accurate facts, hearings will occur.
