Mumbai, February 4: Actress Sonali Kulkarni is set to appear in director Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming film, ‘The Wives.’ She recently announced on social media that the shooting for the film has concluded. Kulkarni expressed her excitement about the film’s release and reflected on the wonderful journey she had with the team.
To share her joy over the completion of the shoot, Kulkarni took to Instagram, posting celebratory pictures with the team. She wrote, “And the shooting of ‘The Wives’ is complete… What a fantastic journey it has been.”
Sonali thanked the entire team, cast, crew, and technicians who worked tirelessly to bring this project to fruition. She emphasized that this project holds special significance for her. Kulkarni added, “I am grateful to the team for infusing this story with brilliance, magic, craziness, and immense energy. Every frame is filled with passion, hard work, and heart. Much love and respect to the cast, crew, and everyone behind the scenes. This journey has truly been special and remarkable.”
The film is produced under the banners of Bhandarkar ENTERTAINMENT and PJ Motion Pictures. Director Madhur Bhandarkar also shared the news of the shoot’s completion on Instagram. He wrote, “Today, I wrapped up the shooting of my 16th film, ‘The Wives.’ It is an original and captivating story based on the glamorous world of star wives. Completing this project has been thrilling, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support; it means a lot to us. A huge thank you to the dedicated actors and technicians.”
Bhandarkar elaborated that ‘The Wives’ showcases the private lives that often remain hidden due to fame. It tells a story of relationships, ambition, insecurity, and emotional existence set in a world driven by image and success. He stated, “I wanted to tell this story with honesty and sensitivity. The cast and crew have helped present it beautifully on screen.”
In addition to Sonali Kulkarni, the film features Mouni Roy, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruwala in key roles. Other actors will also play significant characters. With the shooting of ‘The Wives’ now complete, post-production work has begun. The makers have yet to announce a release date.
