Major Drug Bust in Noida: 30 Kilograms of Marijuana Seized

Noida, February 4: In a significant operation against drug trafficking, Noida police have achieved a major breakthrough. On February 4, 2026, the police arrested four individuals involved in an inter-state marijuana smuggling ring and seized approximately 30 kilograms and 686 grams of marijuana, valued at around ₹11 lakh in the international market.

According to police reports, the operation was conducted based on local intelligence and electronic surveillance. Acting on a tip-off, the police team from Phase-3 station set up a blockade near the TP Nagar intersection and apprehended the suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sarwan, Lav Kumar, Nitish Kumar, and Raj Narayan Kumar, also known as Chhotu Kumar. They are residents of various districts in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and were currently living in the villages of Sorakha and Sarfabad in Noida’s Sector-113 area.

Investigations revealed that the suspects had been part of a marijuana trafficking network for an extended period, transporting marijuana from different states to supply the NCR region. The total seizure amounted to 30 kilograms and 686 grams of marijuana. Based on this recovery, a case has been registered under the NDPS Act at the Phase-3 police station. All suspects have been presented in court for further legal proceedings.

Police records indicate that the main accused, Sarwan, has a criminal history, with three previous cases registered against him under the NDPS Act and the Excise Act, including incidents from 2019 and 2024. This highlights his ongoing involvement in drug trafficking. The police are currently investigating the source of the marijuana and the intended distribution areas, as well as searching for other individuals connected to this network.

Law enforcement officials have stated that their campaign against drug trafficking will continue with strict measures.
